What is the August 2026 Investor Cashback Promotion?
The August 2026 Investor Cashback Promotion (the “Promotion”) is an invitation-only offer administered by Peer Securities Corporation (“Peer Securities”), a registered exempt market dealer, through the goPeer platform.
Eligible investors may earn cashback on eligible net new deposits of at least $2,500 made during the Promotion Period, provided the entire eligible amount is invested in qualifying Notes by the Investment Deadline and all other Promotion conditions are satisfied.
Cashback is calculated using progressive tiers. The highest rate you qualify for does not apply to your entire deposit.
All dollar amounts are in Canadian dollars.
Who is eligible?
To qualify, you must:
- Have received the Promotion directly by email from goPeer.
- Use the goPeer account associated with the promotional offer.
- Have a verified account that remains open and in good standing until the cashback is paid.
- Have current know-your-client information and satisfy all applicable regulatory, suitability, concentration and investment-limit requirements.
- Satisfy all other conditions described in these terms.
The offer is personal and cannot be transferred. Viewing this article or receiving it from another person does not make you eligible.
Receipt of the offer does not guarantee that you will be permitted to invest a particular amount or that sufficient suitable Notes will be available before the Investment Deadline.
What are the important dates?
Promotion Period: August 1, 2026 at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time to August 31, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time.
Investment Deadline: December 31, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time.
A deposit must be successfully received and credited to your goPeer account during the Promotion Period. A deposit initiated during the Promotion Period but received after it ends will not qualify.
How are eligible net new deposits calculated?
Your “Eligible Net New Deposits” equal:
Eligible external deposits successfully received during the Promotion Period
minus
Withdrawals from your account during the Promotion Period
minus
Any deposits that are returned, reversed, charged back or otherwise fail to settle.
Eligible Net New Deposits do not include:
- Cash already in your account before the Promotion Period.
- Principal or interest payments received from existing Notes.
- Cashback, referral bonuses or other promotional credits.
- Transfers between goPeer accounts.
- Deposits received after the Promotion Period.
Multiple deposits and redeposits made during the Promotion Period are combined. All withdrawals during the Promotion Period reduce your Eligible Net New Deposits, regardless of the source of the withdrawn cash.
If your Eligible Net New Deposits are less than $2,500, you will not qualify for cashback.
How is cashback calculated?
Cashback is calculated progressively as follows:
| Portion of Eligible Net New Deposits | Cashback Rate |
|---|---|
| First $10,000 | 1.0% |
| Amount over $10,000 and up to $25,000 | 1.5% |
| Amount over $25,000 | 2.0% |
The minimum Eligible Net New Deposit required to participate is $2,500. Cashback calculations will be rounded to the nearest cent.
Example 1: $7,500 deposited and invested
You make $7,500 in Eligible Net New Deposits during the Promotion Period and fully invest that amount by the Investment Deadline.
Your cashback is:
$7,500 × 1.0% = $75.00
Example 2: $12,500 deposited and invested
You make three eligible deposits during the Promotion Period:
- August 5: $5,000
- August 12: $4,000
- August 26: $3,500
Your Eligible Net New Deposits total $12,500.
Your cashback is calculated progressively:
- 1.0% on the first $10,000 = $100.00
- 1.5% on the remaining $2,500 = $37.50
Total cashback: $137.50
Example 3: Deposit followed by a withdrawal
You deposit $20,000 and withdraw $15,000 during the Promotion Period.
Your Eligible Net New Deposits are:
$20,000 − $15,000 = $5,000
If you fully invest the remaining $5,000 by the Investment Deadline and satisfy the other Promotion conditions, your cashback will be:
$5,000 × 1.0% = $50.00
What does “fully invested” mean?
Your entire Eligible Net New Deposit amount must be invested in qualifying Notes by the Investment Deadline. Partial investment of the eligible amount will not qualify for partial cashback.
To count as invested, funds must be successfully allocated to Notes relating to loans that have been funded and activated by the Investment Deadline.
Funds allocated to a loan that is cancelled, withdrawn by the borrower, not fully funded or otherwise not activated will not count as invested unless those funds are subsequently allocated to another qualifying Note that becomes active before the Investment Deadline.
The minimum investment remains $10 per Note.
Note availability varies and is not guaranteed. You should place investment orders early enough to allow the underlying notes to be funded and activated before the Investment Deadline.
Do suitability and investment limits still apply?
Yes. The Promotion does not increase the amount you are permitted to invest through goPeer.
Every investment remains subject to:
- Peer Securities’ know-your-client and suitability requirements.
- Your applicable maximum investment allocation.
- Concentration and liquidity considerations.
- Note availability.
- Any other regulatory or account-specific restrictions.
A deposit does not guarantee that Peer Securities will permit you to invest the entire amount. Before depositing, you should review the maximum investment allocation shown in your account.
Available cash held in your goPeer account does not earn interest.
How and when will I receive my cashback?
After the Investment Deadline, Peer Securities will review account activity and confirm whether all Promotion conditions have been satisfied.
If you qualify, your cashback will be credited as soon as reasonably practicable to the available cash balance in your goPeer account. You may then withdraw the cashback or use it to purchase additional Notes, subject to the usual account, suitability and investment-limit requirements.
Cashback becomes payable only after Peer Securities has confirmed your eligibility.
Important investment and regulatory information
Cashback is a promotional payment. It is not interest, investment income, a guaranteed return or part of the return offered by any Note. It does not change the terms or risks of any investment.
The Promotion is not a recommendation to deposit additional money, purchase a particular Note or follow a particular investment strategy. You should not deposit or invest more than is appropriate for your financial circumstances solely to receive cashback.
Investing in Notes involves risk, including borrower default, limited liquidity and the possible loss of some or all of your principal. Notes are securities, not bank deposits, and are not insured by the Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation. You should review the applicable offering documents and goPeer’s Risk Disclosure Information before investing.
Borrowing money to participate in the Promotion can significantly increase your risk and is not recommended.
Peer Securities and related goPeer entities may benefit financially when investors purchase Notes through the platform. The Promotion does not change the suitability, investment-limit, supervisory or conflict-of-interest controls used to address this potential conflict. Additional information is available in Peer Securities’ Conflicts of Interest Statement.
Administration of the Promotion
Peer Securities will determine eligibility and calculate cashback acting reasonably and consistently with these terms and its account records. If you believe an error has occurred, please contact goPeer Support.
Peer Securities may disqualify a participant, withhold or reverse cashback, restrict participation in future promotions, or take other action permitted under its agreements and applicable law where it reasonably suspects:
- Fraud or misrepresentation.
- Abuse or manipulation of the Promotion.
- Artificial or circular movement of funds.
- Use of duplicate or unauthorized accounts.
- A breach of these terms or applicable account agreements.
Peer Securities may amend, suspend or terminate the Promotion where reasonably necessary to address fraud, abuse, legal or regulatory requirements, a material technical or operational error, or circumstances beyond its reasonable control. Any material change will be communicated to affected participants.
Except where required by law or reasonably necessary to address fraud or abuse, a change will not reduce cashback already earned or adversely affect Eligible Net New Deposits made before the change takes effect, provided the participant otherwise satisfies these terms.
Cashback may have tax consequences. Participants are responsible for determining and reporting any applicable tax obligations and should consult their own tax adviser where appropriate.
